About Us
Filthy Leather Co was born from the streets. Inspired by the motorcycles
we build and open roads that lead to nowhere. This is our journey
of super OK motorcycle goods and the adventures that inspire our products.
This story begins in late 2017. Phil quit his profession as a Rigger in the FIFO industry in the search for exhilaration. Four days later he was on a flight to chase adrenaline overseas, snowboarding around Canada and riding Harleys around Hawaii. Once he returned home he set off for a solo ride around Australia on his BMW F800GS then went on to live off the grid in the Snowy Mountains of NSW.
After an uninspiring stint with local employment, the COVID pandemic was now in full swing and he was left unemployed at the beginning of 2020. Phil began designing and manufacturing leather items that were more suited to the style and the bikes he rode. Friends began requesting items and the rest is history... This has encouraged us to contribute to the industry and fill the gaps in motorcycle-inspired products.
Thanks to the support of the motorcycle community, Filthy Leather Co was able to expand into protective clothing, apparel, leather care and riding accessories, with the majority of products still being designed and manufactured in Shellharbour on the South Coast of NSW.
